Here is my list for the week.

The Great Book of Lists, chapter 3.0 : Your favorite dishes

First of all, I wanted to thank you all for your patience and kind messages. Internet is back and so is TGBOL !

After the success of the last chapter, the challenge was tough but I realized we haven’t mentionned a universal subject of interest : food. No kidding. We’re 3 months into TGBOL and we’ve never mentioned food once. Can you actually believe it ? I couldn’t.

So this week is about food, but not any kind of food. We’ll be focusing on the food you enjoy cooking the most. Be it a gourmet dish, a simple fruit salade or a pizza, nothing’s too fancy nor too simple to enter our lists, as long as it brings joy. You can even share a recipe if you like 🙂

Here is my list for the week.

My favorite dishes.

1/Vanilla génoise with chocolate ganache
Layer cake anyone ?

2/ Duxelles de champignons

3/ Gratin dauphinois

4/Hachis parmentier

5/ Blanquette de veau

6/ Salmon sushis

7/ Thai soup, curry and shrimps

and so many others dishes … but If I keep adding to this list I’ll spend the next hours in my kitchen 😀

Here are all current TGBOLers :

[ Round Up ] The Great Book of lists chapter 2.1 : Favorite Onscreen kisses

So many kisses shared ! Gone with the wind and Spiderman win most popular acclaim, closely followed by the Notebook lips lock under the falling rain. I did have to watch this movie in order to understand the fondness and I can tell you it’s completely legitimate ;).

I also wanted  to congratulate all of you who interpreted the prompt their very own way. It gaves a great nuance to this week’s chapter.

You guys rock no matter what prompt I suggest.

Without further ado, here are the authors of last week’s chapter and their contribution.

Thanks to all of you for pushing a little sweetness into this world. It made everyone else’s week softer.

The Great Book of Lists, Chapter 2.1 : Favorite Onscreen Kisses

First I wanted to thank you all for checking up on me. My back is better but I still can’t lift or pick anything from the floor.
Standing still for more than 10 minutes is also difficult;  but walking with proper shoes (bye bye heels) is actually pretty enjoyable and ibuprofen helps a lot.

Have I ever told you I’m a sucker for romance ? When February rolls in , I can’t help but  fish for chocolates and binge on romance. My easy go-to solution ? Love on screen.

My heart pounds, my breath stops and serotonin invade my system the second the kiss happens.

So, this week, I’m suggesting you guys to list you favorite onscreen kisses, be it on TV or on the silver screen. What smooches makes you swoon, sigh, howl or cheer ? Are there any lips lock you watch over and over ? Have you had the pleasure to see two characters you’ve been rooting for finally find love ? OR are there kisses you wish you’d see on screen ?

Please tell us so we can all enjoy a dose of romance and get a good awww session.

And here’s my list of favorite onscreen kisses :

Veronica and Logan, Veronica Mars

Tension was on the rise for a couple of episodes and, even if the romance between these two characters wasn’t in the original plot, the obvious chemistry between the actors pushed the writers to take the Logan/Veronica relationship seriously. Lucky for them, with such complex characters, it provided enough conflict for the 2 following seasons and the 2014 movie.

Castle and Beckett, Castle

Fans of the show have been rooting for this moment since the very fist episode. I like this kiss scene because it contains everything I love : romance, action, a little spy business and a writing that perfectly sums up each character. You can see the dynamic of the relationship just by watching this kiss. Castle isn’t afraid if his feeling but he tries to hide them because he’s noticed Beckett’s reaction : fear.

Kate and Alex, The Lake House

The emotional tension preceding the kiss is excruciating as both characters are separated 2 years apart ( yes you read right) and they literally fight death to be together, so when the kiss happens, it’s a huge relief.
And Keanu Reeves.

Burke and Cristina, Grey’s Anatomy

Another relation written into the show after the production team noticed the chemistry between the actors. I love how « grown up » the scene is. No fluffy declaration, no fake conflict. Just a mutual understanding that it’s time to move on to the next level.

Jack and Ianto, Torchwood

I’m a huge John Barrowman fan, and any onscreen kiss of his could end up in this list but my favorite has to be in Torchwood, with Ianto.  The latter usually is the shy one. In this episode he makes the move after Jack tells him he loves him. And that’s the relationship engine. Jack makes the first step and Ianto always responds.

So, now it’s time to show us which onscreen kisses you fancy. Pictures or video appreciated 😉
