Since my youngest days, I have collected notebooks and spent time writing alone in my room. I should have suspected something I guess.

Since 2005, I write stories for companies, a secretary of state, two great schools (french equivalent of Ivy league), a research laboratory and a worldwide number one company. I’ve done corporate storytelling, now I want to tell my own stories.

I created this blog in 2013 as a breather from my day job, a place to share my writing tips, a place to inhale creativity.

One of my favorite subject? My writing toolbox. Creativity dry ? I’ve got just the right key to tie up my muse and make her work ? Lack of time, here is my all terrain board that will do wonders during lunch break.

My tool box keeps on filling in. i’m a geek writer for anything that can abolish frontiers between my brain and my keyboard and make my life easy.

Geek ascending romance addict, a Brontë sister’s fan at the age of 12, and a Jane Austen fan by 20, I discovered Sherlock Holmes and John Grisham in between. You’ll find these influences in my stories with crime novels, fantasy, science fiction and tv series (Veronica Mars and Sherlock of course).

I love challenges, they make me progress. Since 2010, I participate in NaNoWriMo and this summer, I also engaged myself in a daily writing challenge. I publish a 100 word story every night, without exception in english and in french.

dancingKirkI cannot hide my nerd side. You’ll hear about technique, informatique and even Star Trek. When a dancing Kirk pops in an article, that’s no bad omen, that’s me being happy.

In the beginning of the year, I attended Blogging university’s Writing 201 course. There were very few results on the moment but a funny aftermath appeared : I deal with my pet peeves by writing poetry.

  1. Je suis heureux je decouvre votre blog. Cest hyper-interesting! Je suis desole….that my French isn’t that great! My better half (who is a native Parisian) has been practicing. I will follow your blog studicously (I don’t even know if that is a word) and continue to enjoy as much as I have this posting. Merci!

    1. Hi Catherine, welcome on my blog ! And thank you so much for taking the time to read some of my posts. Please sit comfortably and do not hesitate to share your thoughts, I’ll love it, I’m pretty chatty. And for your French, as someone who tries to learn our language, you already won us over 😉

  2. Sorry but my French vocabulary consists of one word, « Merci, » and I just learned it from Catherine! My little joke to toss me into this conversation. I am so glad you year and liked my « Ah, What a … » If you had not I might have missed finding you. You are certainly a multi-talented lady.

  3. Salut ! Love your little bio. I started learning French a few months ago (using Duolingo) but I abandoned it after reaching 29% « fluency ». I hope to get back to it soon and hopefully reach a basic conversational level of French. Thanks for visiting my blog. Can’t wait to read your Sherlock posts. 🙂

      1. Well, I’m a great fan of NaNoWriMo. This year will be my 6th NaNo and I’ll post several articles about it. You can check my tongue in cheek article about preparing Nano titled NaNo prep’s really too hard.

      1. I participated in NaNoWriMo last year for the first time along with the events this past year. I completed Camp-NaNoWriMo in July.

I discovered Scrivener last Nov. which caused me not compete. I have hundreds of stories at the ready.

However, with so many writing ideas, I do not have enough time during the day to write and read. Lol! 🙂

  4. I’m thrilled to read your blog! I studied French in high school & college but have little opportunity to read it, let alone speak or write it…reading it from a native writer will be so exciting! Even when I visited Paris years ago no one wanted to hear my French, they all asked me to « speak English please » 😦 before I even had a chance to try French!

      1. I don’t trust myself to try too much to start…but reading French again on a regular basis will help me gain confidence. I’ll push myself to write something!

    1. Good thank you for asking, but I’m experiencing great difficulties with my internet connection and it’s already thursday. I think I’ll postpone this week ‘s TGBOL in order to give participants time to answer the next subject.
