Ten seconds later (August 31 st)

Bullet noises invaded the laboratory. Yolande raised her head from her microscope and lifted an interrogational brow to Amanda who shook her head no and waved her lady doctor to keep working. She only started worrying when she heard bumps on the door.
– Yolande, babe, what are you doing ?

Yolande, always the analyst, started to pile files.
– Gathering intel about our enemy, his gun force and then formulate a response.
– We’ll be dead by then. Let me handle this.

Amanda put her bionic leg on, fetched her hatchet and burst the door open.

Ten seconds later the corridor was quiet.

  • I feel it made me grow as a writer
  • I am thankful to all the readers who liked my stories and sometimes asked sequels
  • I feel thankful for all the help and support I received, special mention for Mlle Louise who has been there for me EVERYDAY
  • I am so relieved I’m not stuck with only 100 words anymore
  • I am thankful for no more creative agony and utter panic when night is approaching and I havn’t found an idea.

How it all started

Only one leads to them all (August 30 th)

Danny  shuffled casually the pages of the grimoire. Lucy and Derek stared at him eyes wide, jaw dropped.

– What are you gonna chose ?
– Invisibility ? Reading thoughts ? Eternal Youth ? asked Derek

Danny shook his head and tssk-tssked them both and closed the book.

– Oh, come one Dan, what’s your plan ? Lucy said sitting next to him.
– Guys you really need to think ahead. All good things come to an end and only one leads to them all : power.
– Yeah, I’d like that, Derek dreamt aloud.
– Get ready, we need to make an offer to our goddess of wealth.
– A gift ?
– A corpse.

You do love that dog (august 29th)

This post is an answer to today’s prompt of the Dailypost : Missing sequels.

it akes places after the movie the lake house and after the story I wrote as a prequel to it.

I lingered into daydreaming  when and Alex Wyler called me. Peaceful days were so rare in my life I was tempted to « say go to hell » to whomever dared disturb my sunday afternoon.

Then I heard his voice.

– Still insterested by the lake house ? My wife and I are leaving on a trip and we’d like to rent it while we’re away.

I was slowly coming back to full thinking speed. I was tempted, but I didn’t want to be alone.

– Jack’s back , added Alex.
– I’m on my way.
– You do love that dog.
