This post is an answer to today’s writing prompt on the Dailypost blog.
It is also a part of my summer writing challenge : writing a 100 word story everyday. I hope you will enjoy it and please do not hesitate to leave a comment.
During summer, I always let my kids play in our backyard past regular bedtime. The sun still so high you’d never imagine it’s past 8 pm. Lavender, Roses, Peonies, Lilies, Anthuriums fill our Garden. Their perfume enter the house all the way up to the bedrooms, like a tempting fragrance of paradise. Whenever a flower fades, Dan and Jenny always try to reassure it. Hugs happen a lot in this vegetal haven : human/flowers, brother/sister, man/religion. I think father John never got over that big embrace Rufus gave him last year. He walked away red like a pansy.
